Evaluation of the power consumption of a high-speed parallel robot

摘要:

An inverse dynamic model of a high-speed parallel robot is established based on the virtual work principle. With this dynamic model, a new evaluation method is proposed to measure the power consumption of the robot during pick-and-place tasks. The power vector is extended in this method and used to represent the collinear velocity and acceleration of the moving platform. Afterward, several dynamic performance indices, which are homogenous and possess obvious physical meanings, are proposed. These indices can evaluate the power input and output transmissibility of the robot in a workspace. The distributions of the power input and output transmissibility of the high-speed parallel robot are derived with these indices and clearly illustrated in atlases. Furtherly, a low-power-consumption workspace is selected for the robot.

Tuned reactive power dispatch through modified differential evolution technique

摘要: This paper explores the capability of modified differential evolution (MDE) technique for solving the reactive power dispatch (RPD) problem. The proposed method is based on the basic differential evolution (DE) technique with a few modifications made into it. DE is one of the strongest optimization techniques though it suffers from the problem of slow convergence while global minima appear. The proposed modifications are tried to resolve the problem. The RPD problem mainly defines loss minimization with stable voltage profile. To solve the RPD problem, the generator bus voltage, transformer tap setting and shunt capacitor placements are controlled by the MDE approach. In this paper, IEEE 14-bus and IEEE 30-bus systems are chosen for MDE implementation. The applied modification show much improved result in comparison to normal DE technique. Comparative study with other soft-computing technique including DE validates the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Performance of PI controller for control of active and reactive power in DFIG operating in a grid-connected

摘要: Due to several factors, wind energy becomes an essential type of electricity generation. The share of this type of energy in the network is becoming increasingly important. The objective of this work is to present the modeling and control strategy of a grid connected wind power generation scheme using a doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) driven by the rotor. This paper is to present the complete modeling and simulation of a wind turbine driven DFIG in the second mode of operating (the wind turbine pitch control is deactivated). It will introduce the vector control, which makes it possible to control independently the active and reactive power exchanged between the stator of the generator and the grid, based on vector control concept (with stator flux or voltage orientation) with classical PI controllers. Various simulation tests are conducted to observe the system behavior and evaluate the performance of the control for some optimization criteria (energy efficiency and the robustness of the control). It is also interesting to play on the quality of electric power by controlling the reactive power exchanged with the grid, which will facilitate making a local correction of power factor.

摘要: This paper discusses the robust control of a grid-connected doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG) controlled by vector control using a nonlinear feedback linearization strategy in order to ameliorate the performances of the control and to govern the developed stator active and reactive power in a linear and decoupled manner, in which an optimal operation of the DFIG in sub-synchronous operation is given, as well as the control stator power flow with the possibility of keeping stator power factor at a unity. The use of the state-all-flux induction machine model gives place to a simpler control model. So, to achieve this objective, the Lyapunov approach is used associated with a sliding mode control to guarantee the global asymptotical stability and the robustness of the parametric variations.

摘要: 重要节点识别对电网安全意义重大。但电网在规模、结构等方面差异较大,评价指标难以涵盖电网不同状态下所有信息,因此基于指标构建的传统评估方法,其效果视情况而定,通用性不足。由此,本文提出基于人工智能的电网节点重要度评估法。首先利用网络嵌入,提出综合考虑电网结构与电气量的电网节点特征选择法。然后对具体电网,进行各类运行方式下的稳态与节点故障暂态仿真,构建能反映节点特征与节点重要度内在关系的样本集。最后,根据优化后的样本集训练支持向量回归模型,模型成熟后可用于电网节点重要度在线评估。结果表明,本方法能根据从样本中学到的信息有效评估电网节点重要度。相比传统指标构建法,本方法规避了片面性和主观性。此外,基于该人工智能框架,本方法可针对每个具体电网建立特定样本集,具有通用性。

Application of fuzzy logic control algorithm as stator power controller of a grid-connected doubly-fed

摘要: This paper discusses the power outputs control of a grid-connected doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG) for a wind power generation systems. The DFIG structure control has a six diode rectifier and a PWM IGBT converter in order to control the power outputs of the DFIG driven by wind turbine. So, to supply commercially the electrical power to the grid without any problems related to power quality, the active and reactive powers ( , ) at the stator side of the DFIG are strictly controlled at a required level, which, in this paper, is realized with an optimized fuzzy logic controller based on the grid flux oriented control, which gives an optimal operation of the DFIG in sub-synchronous region, and the control of the stator power flow with the possibility of keeping stator power factor at a unity.

Fault tolerant control strategy for modular PWM current source inverter

摘要: In this paper, a fault-tolerant control method for an input-series output-parallel modular grid-tied pulse-width modulation (PWM) current source inverter is proposed to address the most commonly seen single symmetrical gate-commutated thyristor (SGCT) open-circuit fault problems. This method actively offsets the neutral point of the current space vector to ensure a sinusoidal output of the grid current, and it can achieve the upper limit power of the inverter under the condition of a single SGCT open-circuit fault. In addition, an active damping control method based on grid harmonic current feedback is proposed after analyzing the influence of the transformer ferromagnetic resonance caused by the neutral point offset on the power quality of the grid current. It has been demonstrated that the proposed method effectively suppresses the resonance caused by the transformer and the modified modulation, improving the grid current’s power quality.

Multiple target implementation for a doubly fed induction generator based on direct power control under

摘要: This paper presents a multiple target implementation technique for a doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) under unbalanced and distorted grid voltage based on direct power control (DPC). Based on the mathematical model of DFIG under unbalanced and distorted voltage, the proportional and integral (PI) regulator is adopted to regulate the DFIG average active and reactive powers, while the vector PI (VPI) resonant regulator is used to achieve three alternative control targets: (1) balanced and sinusoidal stator current; (2) smooth instantaneous stator active and reactive powers; (3) smooth electromagnetic torque and instantaneous stator reactive power. The major advantage of the proposed control strategy over the conventional method is that neither negative and harmonic sequence decomposition of grid voltage nor complicated control reference calculation is required. The insensitivity of the proposed control strategy to DFIG parameter deviation is analyzed. Finally, the DFIG experimental system is developed to validate the availability of the proposed DPC strategy under unbalanced and distorted grid voltage.

Comparison of optimal capacitor placement methods in radial distribution system with load growth and ZIP load model

摘要: In this paper, a combined power loss sensitivity (PLS) index-based approach is proposed to determine the optimal location of the capacitors in the radial distribution system (RDS) based on the real and reactive combined loss sensitivity index, as capacitor placement not only reduces real power loss with voltage profile improvement but also reduces reactive power loss due to the reactive power compensation in the network. The results have been obtained with the existing methods of power loss index (PLI) and index vector (IV) method for comparison. Besides, the optimal placement has been obtained with the proposed method as well as existing methods and the total kVar support has been obtained. In addition, the results of net cost savings for the 10-, 34-, and 69-bus systems are obtained for comparison. Moreover, the results have been obtained for a large system of 85 buses to validate the results with combined sensitivity based approach. Furthermore, the load growth factor has been considered in the study which is essential for the planning and expansion of the existing systems, whereas the impact of the realistic load model as ZIP load model has been considered for the study of all the systems.

摘要: This paper deals with robust direct power control of a grid-connected brushless doubly-fed induction generator(BDFIG). Using a nonlinear feedback linearization strategy, an attempt is made to improve the desired performances by controlling the generated stator active and reactive power in a linear and decoupled manner. Therefore, to achieve this objective, the Lyapunov approach is used associated with a sliding mode control to guarantee the global asymptotical stability. Thus, an optimal operation of the BDFIG in sub-synchronous operation is obtained as well as the stator power flows with the possibility of keeping stator power factor at a unity. The proposed method is tested with the Matlab/Simulink software. Simulation results illustrate the performances and the feasibility of the designed control.

摘要: 用于并网逆变器的传统模型预测直接功率控制,在每个控制周期只使用一个逆变器电压矢量,导致并网电流和功率出现大量谐波分量,降低电能质量。为提高稳态性能,预测控制需要很高的采样频率,同时由于计算复杂,预测算法需要较长执行时间,二者存在矛盾。为解决这个问题,提出一种新的无差拍模型预测直接功率控制策略,在每个控制周期使用2个有效电压矢量和1个零电压矢量。采用三矢量策略保证开关频率恒定,提高电流和功率质量。不同于传统三矢量模型预测直接功率控制策略,该方法根据功率误差而非电网电压矢量位置选择三个矢量,保证矢量计算时间始终为正。同时,无需迭代计算,有利于在数字信号处理芯片上执行算法。最后,搭建1 kW逆变器实验平台,验证了该方法的有效性。

Liquefaction prediction using support vector machine model based on cone penetration data

摘要: A support vector machine (SVM) model has been developed for the prediction of liquefaction susceptibility as a classification problem, which is an imperative task in earthquake engineering. This paper examines the potential of SVM model in prediction of liquefaction using actual field cone penetration test (CPT) data from the 1999 Chi-Chi, Taiwan earthquake. The SVM, a novel learning machine based on statistical theory, uses structural risk minimization (SRM) induction principle to minimize the error. Using cone resistance ( ) and cyclic stress ratio ( ), model has been developed for prediction of liquefaction using SVM. Further an attempt has been made to simplify the model, requiring only two parameters ( and maximum horizontal acceleration ), for prediction of liquefaction. Further, developed SVM model has been applied to different case histories available globally and the results obtained confirm the capability of SVM model. For Chi-Chi earthquake, the model predicts with accuracy of 100%, and in the case of global data, SVM model predicts with accuracy of 89%. The effect of capacity factor ( ) on number of support vector and model accuracy has also been investigated. The study shows that SVM can be used as a practical tool for prediction of liquefaction potential, based on field CPT data.

A modified neural learning algorithm for online rotor resistance estimation in vector controlled induction

摘要: Online estimation of rotor resistance is essential for high performance vector controlled drives. In this paper, a novel modified neural algorithm has been identified for the online estimation of rotor resistance. Neural based estimators are now receiving active consideration as they have a number of advantages over conventional techniques. The training algorithm of the neural network determines its learning speed, stability, weight convergence, accuracy of estimation, speed of tracking and ease of implementation. In this paper, the neural estimator has been studied with conventional and proposed learning algorithms. The sensitivity of the rotor resistance change has been tested for a wide range of variation from -50% to+50% on the stability of the drive system with and without estimator. It is quiet appealing to settle with optimal estimation time and error for the viable realization. The study is conducted extensively for estimation and tracking. The proposed learning algorithm is found to exhibit good estimation and tracking capabilities. Besides, it reduces computational complexity and, hence, more feasible for practical digital implementation.

Unconfined compressive strength prediction of soils stabilized using artificial neural networks and support vector

摘要: This study aims to improve the unconfined compressive strength of soils using additives as well as by predicting the strength behavior of stabilized soils using two artificial-intelligence-based models. The soils used in this study are stabilized using various combinations of cement, lime, and rice husk ash. To predict the results of unconfined compressive strength tests conducted on soils, a comprehensive laboratory dataset comprising 137 soil specimens treated with different combinations of cement, lime, and rice husk ash is used. Two artificial-intelligence-based models including artificial neural networks and support vector machines are used comparatively to predict the strength characteristics of soils treated with cement, lime, and rice husk ash under different conditions. The suggested models predicted the unconfined compressive strength of soils accurately and can be introduced as reliable predictive models in geotechnical engineering. This study demonstrates the better performance of support vector machines in predicting the strength of the investigated soils compared with artificial neural networks. The type of kernel function used in support vector machine models contributed positively to the performance of the proposed models. Moreover, based on sensitivity analysis results, it is discovered that cement and lime contents impose more prominent effects on the unconfined compressive strength values of the investigated soils compared with the other parameters.

A complete modeling and simulation of DFIG based wind turbine system using fuzzy logic control

摘要: The current paper talks about the variable speed wind turbine generation system (WTGS). So, the WTGS is equipped with a doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG) and two bidirectional converters in the rotor open circuit. A vector control (VC) of the rotor side converter (RSC) offers independent regulation of the stator active and reactive power and the optimal rotational speed tracking in the power maximization operating mode. A VC scheme for the grid-side converter (GSC) allows an independent regulation of the active and reactive power to exchange with the grid and sinusoidal supply currents and keeps the DC-link voltage constant. A fuzzy inference system (FIS) is adopted as an alternative of the conventional proportional and integral (PI) controller to reject some uncertainties or disturbance. The performances have been verified using the Matlab/Simulink software.
